What is Prison Ministry?
Prison Ministry challenges us to walk alongside youth, adults and the aged who are incarcerated. We as the Church accompany them in their everyday experience of rejection, isolation, separation, and loneliness by ministering to them. They, too, have hopes, dreams, ambitions and fears. They are someone’s son, daughter, husband, father, mother, sister, neighbor and friend.
What are the opportunities?
As Catholics, we recognize and appreciate the unique gifts in each individual with whom we come in contact. The challenge and opportunity is explained in a single word: acceptance. We are instruments of God’s unconditional love.
