Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

What is R.C.I.A.?

It is a catechetical program through which non-baptized and non-confirmed adults are prepared for full initiation into the Catholic church.  This rite is primarily designed for unapprised adults and also serves as a catechesis for individuals baptized into other Christian faiths seeking full communion with the Catholic church.  It also provides education for baptized Catholics who have not received any other sacraments.

Who can join and what are the opportunities?

If you have not been fully initiated into the Catholic Church (have not received Baptism, Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation), you are eligible to register and participate in classes.

Members of the community who have been full initiated into the Catholic church can become sponsors and godparents who will provide information and support for the candidates, attend sessions and witness the rites.

Fully initiated members of the Catholic church also have the opportunity to be catechists to candidates.  They are resource individuals for explaining and sharing personal faith experiences in the areas of instruction.

When do they meet?

Please email our R.C.I.A. Coordinator for more information on the schedule.

If you are interested in completing your rites of initiation, being a sponsor, being a catechist or are just interested in learning more about the program, please click here to fill in our inquiry form or you can email us directly.
